Architecture has played a role in the public representation of EU institutions. By looking at the history of EU Council family pictures - portraits taken in every summit with all the heads of state, this text traces the architectural evolution in parallel to the power narratives of the European project. The displacement from palaces and national monuments to multimedia broadcasting sets goes hand in hand with the growth and transformation of the EU from a community of countries to the largest supranational union in the world.

Transitando desde las discotecas para niños, con sesiones matinales, a las discotecas punk, donde se arrojaban animales muertos, se descubren los espacios que albergaron las expresiones públicas de tranformación social durante los años de la transición política y la eclosión del diseño barcelonés después.

Architecture is a technology that contributes to the production of the masculine subject. Revisting key works by Theresa de Laureatis, Joel Sanders and Paul B. Preciado, the text questions the role of architecture as a binary technology of gender and speculates on a trangresive re-disposition of architectural design towards gender multiplicity.
